Dr Varun Kumar (MBBS (Lond),
MBA(Lond)) is a doctor currently working in Sandwell and West Birmingham
Hospitals NHS trust. He graduated from Barts and the London medical school with
a Distinction as well as an MBA from London. He currently sits as a Council
Member for the Royal Society of Medicine, General practice and primary care
Section. He was also previously an Associate for the NHS clinical Leaders
Network, as well as a board member for RCGP Northeast London Faculty.
His interest lies in Dermatology,
having done his elective at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, University of
Sydney. He has also presented Internationally as well as locally and won awards
for research done on community skin surgery as well as skin conditions in skin
of colour. He also has an interest in medical technology, and has interned in
Silicon Valley at Zeda, the world’s first Medifacturing company which pioneers
integrated healthcare solutions using 3D printing and nano technologies. He is
passionate about Primary care, Dermatology, technology and innovation in
medicine.
