Dr Hayley Jenkins
Dr. Hayley Jenkins is a seasoned medical
professional with a profound history in Family Planning and Women's Health. Her
journey in this specialised field began during her GP registrar year, where she
had the privilege of training under a doctor who specialised in family planning
and women's health. During this period, Dr. Jenkins attained her DFSRH (Diploma
of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare) and LOC (Letter of
Competence) for coils and implants, laying the foundation for her expertise. As
a partner in a larger training practice, Dr. Jenkins took the initiative to
develop a weekly Family Planning clinic and became a Family Planning trainer,
sharing her knowledge with fellow practitioners. Her commitment to advancing
skills and knowledge in this domain is reflected in her collaboration with the
local sexual health clinic, where she held roles as a Family Planning trainer.Dr. Jenkins, known in Milton Keynes as an
expert in her field, went beyond the routine by securing a bid with her
practice to establish a community gynae clinic. This venture saw her working
alongside a local consultant, elevating her skills and pushing the boundaries
of her expertise. Throughout her career, Dr. Jenkins has been driven by three
key components: General Practice, Women's Health, and Teaching/Training. These
aspects have shaped her career into a dynamic blend of patient care,
specialisation, and knowledge dissemination. Her reputation as an expert led to
invitations to lecture and teach local GPs and nurses, solidifying her role as
a key figure in advancing women's health in her community. Currently, as a
salaried GP focusing on menopause and women's health one day a week, Dr.
Jenkins also serves as the contraception lead for Milton Keynes and Bedford
Sexual Health services. These roles, which she cherishes, highlight her ongoing
commitment to providing comprehensive and specialised care in Family Planning
and Women's Health. Dr. Jenkins looks forward to continuing her diverse roles,
contributing to the well-being of her patients for years to come.
